As a leading Oakville home exterior and interior design firm, we understand that a home is more than just a structure—it’s where lives unfold, relationships grow, and legacies begin.
A home allows us to plant roots in our communities. It’s the literal and figurative foundation of our strongest relationships. The very best designed homes are unique. They stand out just as they seamlessly fit into the surrounding landscape.
There are those who say a home is merely an asset, a commodity to be bought and sold. But we beg to differ. To us, a home is a platform for our dreams and ambitions.
David Small Designs was built on the idea that a home can be equal parts artistic statement, residence and love letter to the environment that surrounds it. As trusted designers in Ontario, our goal is to create homes that are thoughtfully integrated into the landscape and deeply reflective of their owners.
At David Small Designs, we create homes that challenge convention and celebrate individuality. Influenced by everything from 18th-century French châteaux to Frank Lloyd Wright, our designers blend timeless design principles with bold modern architecture.
As a leading name in custom home design in Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Toronto, and beyond, we endeavour to explore radical geometry and craft residences using traditional materials like glass, wood, stone, and steel—designed to both stand out and belong.
Those passionate about modern design are on a never-ending search for different. They don’t follow trends, they set them. Their embrace of purity in design—be it the minimalist simplicity of concrete forms or the whimsical use of glass and steel for modern style house. The evolution of what we’ve deemed Natural Modern design is a reflection of their demand for progress, as well as the need for a constant dialogue between buildings and their surroundings—capturing the essence of modern exterior and interior design.
We believe that design perfection is only possible with a reverence for tradition and a refusal to accept the mundane. Our transitional home designs embrace this ethos, combining timeless elements with tomorrow’s potential to create an eclectic sense of wonder.
At David Small Designs, we create homes for bold thinkers—those who embrace originality and understand how great design can shape lives and communities.
As leading designers in Mississauga and the GTA, we work with clients who are driven by curiosity, rooted in family, and inspired by individuality. The DSD School of Design is inspired by their originality. We’re at once modern, transitional and traditional blending exterior design and interior design into homes as we aspire to revolutionize the way homes are designed and constructed.
