This custom transitional home blends classic symmetry with modern craftsmanship, creating a residence that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. The façade is defined by a perfectly balanced composition—twin chimneys framing the roofline, paired curved dormers, and a central entry pavilion that introduces a sense of quiet grandeur. The soft, sculptural form of the dormers adds refinement to the steep roofline, enhancing the home’s stately presence from the street.

A palette of light brick, stone detailing, and crisp black-framed windows reinforces its transitional character. Large expanses of glazing bring natural light deep into the home while preserving classical proportions and strong architectural symmetry. This harmony continues inside, where an intuitive layout guides you seamlessly from one space to the next.

As both the architectural and interior design team, we approached the interior with the same focus on proportion, detail, and material richness. Arched openings soften the flow between rooms, while custom millwork, layered mouldings, and expansive sightlines anchor the interior architecture. The foyer and main hall feature herringbone wood flooring, adding warmth and texture that complement the home’s clean, modern detailing.

A standout feature of the design is the dedicated whiskey room—an intimate, moody retreat lined with illuminated display shelving, dark millwork, and a sculptural fireplace. This space provides a striking contrast to the home’s airy palette, offering a refined environment for conversation, tasting, and quiet escape.

Because the lot is wider than it is deep, the backyard was thoughtfully positioned along the side yard. Expansive sliding doors open to a covered outdoor living space overlooking the pool, creating a seamless indoor–outdoor connection that extends the entertaining areas and reinforces the home’s blend of tradition and modernity.
